Founded in January 2001, Outdoor Video & Photographic (OV&P) is owned and managed by Dave and Naomi Estment and our studio is based in the visionary Devonbosch development, near Stellenbosch in the beautiful winelands of the Western Cape. We also do photo and video shoots for our clients around South Africa.
Dave Estment
Owner, Pro Photographer & Videographer, Apple Certified Pro Editor, Aerial Drone Pilot
A toolmaker by trade, who also studied mechanical engineering, Dave is an experienced, skilled aerial drone pilot with a particular passion for and focus on aerial, action and wildlife photography and videography. He raced superbikes professionally for 9 years and represented South Africa on the global stage before being recruited into financial services.
As a long-standing member of the South African Guild of Motoring Journalists, he has covered many World Championship Superbike, MotoGP and F1 races over the years. Dave’s photography and videography flourished alongside a 20 year career in the corporate world, most recently as a director at NFB Financial Services Group for 11 years.
He also has significant experience in commercial property assembly with prominent developers in the country, aligned with his speciality in property and construction videography and photography. Dave’s outdoor and action photography has been widely published in books, magazines, websites, calendars and image libraries since 1996.
Naomi Estment
Co-Founder, Pro Photographer & Videographer, Apple Certified Pro Editor
Naomi is certified in portraiture, fashion and glamour photography, master lighting and interior decorating. She applies these skills in the studio and is an experienced judge of modeling competitions with a gift for guiding clients to relax, pose beautifully and connect with the camera so that they can present confidently and effectively.
In addition to 20+ years of entrepreneurship and 15 years in the corporate world, focused on direct marketing and communications, Naomi has extensive experience in writing and scripting, which she frequently applies to promotional videos, adding special impact to conveying the intended message and inspiring viewers to take action.
She’s passionate about helping visionary leaders shine on camera, optimise their photo and video shoots and leverage these via successful visual marketing. She offers training on these topics, as well as personal branding photo and video shoots, via her signature site www.naomiestment.com (2017 SA Best Photographic Blog Winner).
Rudolph de Wet
Head of Production, Pro Photographer, Videographer and Editor
Rudolph lives life to the full, embracing new opportunities along the way. He started out studying health and safety and going overseas. In the USA, he found himself in the position to assist in a big film production doing the work and research, and knew this was for him.
He studied a year of photography, then two years of film, TV and video production, before establishing his career as a photographer, videographer and editor. Rudolph weaves his unique and creative style into each frame, whether behind the lens capturing breathtaking moments or immersed at his editing desk. He thrives on bringing visions to life and had an absolute blast working with TV series and talented singers, among other exciting things.
The diversity of his projects has allowed Rudolph to refine his skills across various genres and styles. From capturing the raw emotions on set to adding that magical touch in post-production, he’s always wholeheartedly dedicated to delivering top-notch results. He loves venturing into new creative territories and collaborating with individuals from various industries. Every project brings fresh inspiration and opportunities to push boundaries.
Aside from work, Rudolph finds solace in outdoor adventures, especially mountain biking.
