2014 SA Blog Awards

Rhino Calf with SA Flag

We are delighted to share that this site is registered in the Best Photographic Blog category for the 2014 SA Blog Awards, which offer an opportunity to participate in celebrating some of the leading online contributors in South Africa. PLEASE VOTE BELOW (by scrolling down to click on the big red SA Blog Awards button) if you feel we deserve it. We’ll be so grateful if you do!

The SA Blog Awards are close to my heart since I had the honour of my personal blog Naomi’s Notes being a top ten finalist in the 2010 SA Blog Awards. Considerable credit for that accolade goes to Dave’s wildlife photography, which has featured often on my blog and is also show-cased here, via the gallery tabs above. Our mutual passion for this subject and for sharing Africa’s magic in general has motivated our online and offline journey for years.

It is also the reason that the interim years of SA Blog Awards dropped off our radar, as we were immersed in a series of conservation film and photography projects. One of the most special memories from this time is our experience of meeting Smurf, the six-week-old rhino calf featured above, who crept into our hearts and stole a piece of them forever. Along the way, we’ve had the privilege and pleasure of meeting many phenomenal people, and learning from them via real world and virtual avenues.

Given how much valuable content is shared online, particularly by the established thought leaders in their respective industries, we fully support their recognition via these national Blog Awards, and are grateful for the opportunity to be part of the process. Our purpose for this site is to add value of our own by contributing insight and inspiration relating to photography and videography into the mix, and to share tips and ideas about how these mediums can be harnessed to promote business and career success. All the best to everyone involved and sincere thanks to all of you who care to vote for us below!
