The auditorium at the Sandton Library buzzed with anticipation as The Passionate Professional’s first Mentorship Musings event launched early on Tuesday 10th March. Hema Vallabh, the founder and CEO of this visionary incubator that specialises in developing leaders through mentorship, interviewed leading Canadian women’s wealth coach and entrepreneur Pat Mussieux, founder of Wealthy Women Leaders, who was in South Africa for the first time. Incorporating state-of-the-art, interactive input from the audience, they explored key questions relating to success in business and life.
Winner of numerous business and entrepreneurial awards, Pat is known for unleashing the potential in business owners and leaders, as well as setting them up for success in terms of working with ideal clients and team members, making more money and generating more freedom. She shared wisdom from her own compelling journey, which has entailed taking the plunge into entrepreneurship at age 55, traveling the world twice via private jet, speaking on numerous stages, hosting her own local radio show for the past 3 years, writing 3 books and shooting a pilot for her pending TV show.

After the interview and networking over tea, Pat went on to deliver a high-energy workshop that honed in on specific ways for members of the audience to implement success strategies in their own businesses and lives. More in-depth audience participation followed, in the form of interviews with the candidates who had submitted applications for The Passionate Professional’s first Mentoring Scholarship, offered in partnership with Pat. It was enlightening to film these interviews and moving to watch Taryn Laing win a scholarship worth 10,000 Canadian dollars to be mentored by Pat, and Eugenie Drakes be awarded another scholarship worth 25,000 Canadian dollars, to join Pat’s high-end program for well established entrepreneurs.
