It’s not every day that you get to photograph some of the finest wines and spirits being evaluated by an esteemed panel of local and international judges!
It was recently our privilege to assist Aerolume Creations with professional event photography during the Michelangelo International Wine & Spirits Awards tastings, hosted at the beautiful Lourensford Wine Estate in Somerset West.
What an honour to be part of this memorable event, celebrating excellence in the wine and spirits industry against the spectacular backdrop of the Cape Winelands.
Capturing the Michelangelo Wine & Spirits Awards Tastings
The Michelangelo International Wine & Spirits Awards recognise excellence in winemaking and spirits production, bringing together experienced judges to evaluate an impressive selection of entries.
Over the course of an exciting week at Lourensford, panels of respected local and international judges put their expertise to work, carefully assessing the wines and spirits presented for tasting.
Behind the scenes, our cameras were busy too!
Our role was to capture the atmosphere, people and important moments through professional event photography, documenting the concentration, expertise and dedication that make an occasion like this so special.
From candid interactions to the finer details of the judging process, we aimed to create a visual record that reflected both the professionalism and personality of the event.
Photography and Videography: A Creative Collaboration
It was a pleasure to work alongside Barry Snyman of Aerolume Creations, who did a brilliant job capturing the tastings through professional ground-based and aerial videography.
While OV&P focused on event photography, Aerolume Creations brought another visual dimension to the production through video footage showcasing the event and its beautiful surroundings.
Combining photography with ground-based and aerial videography offers event organisers a versatile collection of visual content. From promotional campaigns and social media to websites and future event marketing, these complementary formats help tell a captivating story.
