We have been privileged to film and photograph a number of Barrow Construction’s iconic property developments over the past few years, the latest being the luxury apartment block that will be known as Metropolis on Park, which is being erected on Mushroom Park in the middle of the Sandton CBD. This well established public park with paved walkways and sprawling lawns graces Sandton with a necessary dose of tranquility and natural beauty, and provides an idyllic setting for the building.

Family owned and managed for over a century, the Barrow Group is highly respected as a leader in their industry, permitting no compromise on the superb quality of their impressive portfolio of properties. Their Metropolis on Park building has gone up in leaps and bounds, and is now approaching the planned 13 storeys, which will undoubtedly offer its tenants among the most sought-after views of Sandton.

It has been our privilege to capture the construction progress from the early stages when Metropolis on Park was just a huge hole in the ground all the way through to where it is now. Our latest shoot entailed using state-of-the-art technology in the form of hi-tech drones to film and photograph the progress of the project as well as to highlight the views that tenants will enjoy from each level of the development.

The relatively new drone technology that we use has created a fresh perspective for our clients, facilitating smooth-flowing film and images of their projects and allowing us to get really creative due to the manoeuvrability and super stable filming platform that comes with the latest versions of these amazing machines. Another key benefit is that they are significantly less expensive to fly than helicopters and the like.
