Following much deliberation and delay, drone flying in South Africa is soon to become “legal and licenced”, at least for commercial drone operators, via new drone regulations that “are anticipated to be promulgated towards the end of March 2015” as per an informative article by John Gore, published at www.filmcontact.com. Some scenes simply beg to be photographed, such as magnificent vistas across the African bushveld, particularly when these form the backdrop to a sensual bath. The above photo was taken at the World’s View suite at stunning Ant’s Hill lodge in the Waterberg, South Africa. Surely this must count among the most spectacular bath settings on the planet. Capturing the delight and drama of after dark events is a skill all its own, made that much more pleasurable by a characterful venue. Katy’s Palace Bar in Kramerville, Johannesburg, falls perfectly into this category. The ambience and decor are rich in quirky character and eclectic colour, providing a vibrant backdrop for photos of guests, as well as accent images.
