How To Deal With Drones

Undoubtedly among the hottest boys’ toys with benefits to hit the market lately, unmanned aerial drones are causing a great deal of contention. At a loss about how to deal with their runaway popularity, authorities’ responses include threatening to outlaw all use of them. Of course, military spec drones could pose a serious threat that has to be contained – still taking into account their powerful potential to effectively combat poaching, for example – but we’re talking about the smaller drones that fly way below aircraft level, over shorter distances with more limited battery life. Event photography brings its own special pressures, in terms of the requirement to capture a range of scenarios expertly, in the moment, and within the constraints of tight deadlines. Although this process is always pressurized, it helps when you have shot similar events before, particularly as a team. Event Videography – Africa Health

If you enjoy the demands of fast paced action, thinking on your feet and shooting to tight deadlines, event videography can certainly deliver. It requires special attention to detail in relation to sound in particular, as well as a variety of lighting scenarios. Our cameras worked hard last week at the phenomenal Africa Health Exhibition and Congress, where we had assistance along the way, including some from lovely Suzette, pictured above, who is a final year student at Open Window Institute of Design, Film, Interactive & Visual Arts.
